TNT Balanced Literacy Centers Empowering Kids For A Positive Future

Welcome to Tutoring Nurtures Talent, Inc. (TNT) is a non-profit organization established in November 1991. Recognizing the need for supplemental academic services for children of low income families, TNT was developed to provide free supplemental educational services to students from economically challenged families who were failing and/or experiencing difficulty in reading and math and needed assistance with daily homework assignments and study skills development.

Tutoring Nurtures Talent, Inc. (TNT) in collaboration with Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority and Project Agape has developed Balanced Literacy Centers in AMHA's Summit Lake and Valley Apartment Complexes to assist area families with supplemental educational services.
 
TNT Balanced Literacy Centers operate after school and summer programs.  Literacy instruction is offered on a three day schedule for a total of six hours weekly.  Centers follow a daily regimen of activities, varying in age, grade, and reading level, ensuring a balanced literacy program.
 
Additionally, TNT offers tutoring services utilizing one on one, small group, large group and computer guided instruction for elementary, middle and high school students.  These services are offered on a contractual basis.
